Poor widows, orphans , bright students and other helpless
persons are counting on your generosity

The Brahmin community is well known for its philosophy of simple living and high thinking. Poverty is not new to the community. But, as we have entered the new millennium, the 'State of the community' in India is indeed very grim.

Due to urbanization, vanishing of traditional means of livelihood in smaller cities and towns and yes due to and reverse discrimination by the Government a majority of Brahmin folks especially widows, the elderly and children are living under deplorable conditions. They are finding it extremely hard even to exist, let alone carrying forward the high ideals of the community. It therefore behooves that our more fortunate brothers and sisters come to their rescue.

There are many registered Brahmana Sabhas in India with dedicated volunteers, serving the less fortunate members of the Brahmin community. Pension to poor widows is a valuable service provided, in addition to Scholarships etc. Most of the Sabhas have limited funds. Obviously with better cash flows they will be able to better serve the community. Your contributions however modest, will be invaluable.
